iTown #5 Mytholmroyd minimap

Taking place on a sunny weekend in February, our MytholmRoyd Group discuss buildings in the area, and create podcasts and films to show the town team what they want for the town, discuss the cultural roots of Ted Hughes, and go walkabout...

Topics

xCanal Towpath Maintenance
The canal towpath is a peaceful and pretty place to be, but with no dog bins and little care, our Mytholmroyd group want the riverside to be cleaned up.

xSports facilities
Our group felt that they didn't always know what was going on in the town so suggested a visible website and regular information. They also felt that it was too expensive for young people to get involved.

xRubbish!
Around the river, under the railway station and by the community centre. Every group discusses how getting rid of rubbish makes life cleaner, safer, and more pleasant

xThe Community Centre
Has the old chicken shed had it's day. Dimly lit and dangerous, it is the only place to go, but some of our group felt that they felt intimidated to visit.
